Allcargo Logistics Boosts Supply Chains For India's Manufacturing MSMEs

Allcargo Logistics has launched a comprehensive initiative to strengthen supply chains for India's micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) through integrated warehousing and multimodal transport solutions. By targeting traditional manufacturing clusters in sectors like textiles and handicrafts, the company aims to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery reliability for small-scale producers. This development highlights the logistics industry's critical role in connecting fragmented regional markets to global supply chains through digital transformation and infrastructure investment.

Allcargo Logistics is focusing its integrated Domestic Supply Chain and Express Distribution services on India's traditional manufacturing clusters, such as the handicrafts hub in Bhuj, furniture production in Jodhpur, and the textile centers of Tirupur and Surat. These MSMEs often face significant logistical hurdles, including fragmented operations, seasonal production cycles, and limited visibility, which lead to higher costs and delivery delays. Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director and CEO of Allcargo Logistics, emphasized that the company is deploying technology-driven solutions, including data-driven planning and AI-powered capabilities, to help these businesses modernize their operations and respond more effectively to market fluctuations.

To facilitate this expansion, the company has dramatically scaled its physical footprint across India, increasing its transshipment network from 21 centers to 71 centers. Through the introduction of the Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, the company has grown its mapped PIN codes from 21,000 to over 32,000, while direct serviceable PIN codes have more than doubled from 4,900 to over 10,000. This infrastructure allows MSMEs to access a wider customer base with shorter transit times and improved delivery reliability, providing the logistical foundation necessary for scaling operations nationwide.

Sustainability and operational efficiency are also central to Allcargo’s strategy, as the company integrates environmentally conscious practices like route optimization and load consolidation to minimize fuel consumption. By providing real-time shipment visibility and streamlined delivery processes, Allcargo helps manufacturers reduce uncertainty and manage complex supply chain requirements more effectively. These efforts not only lower logistics costs for MSMEs but also support the broader industry trend toward building more resilient and sustainable supply chains in the face of evolving global demand.
