Bharti AXA Life Insurance Elevates Vishal Sinha to Head Corporate HR, L&D, and OD

Bharti AXA Life Insurance has promoted Vishal Sinha to the expanded role of Head–Corporate HR, Learning & Development (L&D), and Organisational Development (OD). This strategic move consolidates the company’s people and learning functions under a single leadership mandate to drive leadership capability and organizational effectiveness. For the Corporate Training & L&D sector, this elevation highlights the increasing integration of learning strategies with broader corporate HR and talent development agendas within the insurance industry.

Vishal Sinha’s promotion at Bharti AXA Life Insurance consolidates the company’s people, learning, and organizational development functions under his leadership. In this new capacity, he is responsible for driving the corporate HR agenda, leadership development, and learning strategy, with a specific focus on strengthening leadership capability and talent development. This shift highlights the strategic integration of L&D within the corporate structure to ensure that training initiatives directly support organizational effectiveness and long-term business goals.

Sinha has been associated with Bharti AXA Life Insurance for over five years, previously serving as the head of corporate HR and talent acquisition. In that role, he led recruitment and HR functions across both sales and non-sales business units. His earlier experience at the company included heading training for partnership distribution and corporate HR, where he oversaw group business learning, central induction, and training analytics, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the firm's internal development needs.

With more than 22 years of experience in human resources, Sinha has developed extensive expertise in learning and development, capability building, and organizational change. Prior to joining Bharti AXA in 2021, he was the business head for B2B corporate training at Max Skill First and held leadership roles in training at Aditya Birla Health Insurance and Birla Sun Life Insurance. Sinha is an alumnus of IMI Delhi and recently completed the Future CHRO Programme at the Indian School of Business in 2024, further preparing him for his expanded executive responsibilities.
