Recyda introduces PPWR Navigator for Declarations of Conformity & Technical Documentation

Recyda has launched the PPWR Navigator, a digital platform designed to assist packaging companies in meeting the requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The tool automates the generation of Declarations of Conformity and Technical Documentation, helping firms manage thousands of SKUs ahead of the first regulatory deadlines in August. By digitizing compliance processes, the solution aims to reduce manual labor, minimize audit risks, and ensure continued market access for packaging manufacturers.

Recyda has introduced its PPWR Navigator, an end-to-end compliance solution specifically engineered to help packaging companies navigate the complexities of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The platform focuses on the creation and organization of Declarations of Conformity (DoC) and Technical Documentation (TD), which are critical for demonstrating compliance with Article 5 regarding Substances of Concern and Article 11 regarding Reusability. Co-founder Christian Knobloch emphasized that the tool is designed to lift the burden of manual compliance by providing auditable digital solutions for the entire packaging value chain, preventing bottlenecks that often arise from managing complex packaging hierarchies.

The "all-in-one" platform features ready-to-use document templates created through collaboration with legal experts and industry players to ensure regulatory rigor and consensus. Key features include bulk processing capabilities that allow users to generate and export massive quantities of documentation simultaneously, as well as portfolio analysis tools to detect compliance gaps. By moving away from fragmented spreadsheets to a centralized digital approach, Recyda aims to reduce administrative friction and human error, providing a scalable solution for global brands that need to manage thousands of individual SKUs.

Beyond the immediate August compliance deadlines, the PPWR Navigator is built to accommodate future regulatory shifts, including the upcoming recyclability requirements under Article 6 of the PPWR. Co-founder Vivian Loftin stated that the platform establishes a single source of truth for digital compliance that extends to regional Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting in North America and other global markets. This launch follows a strategic partnership with SAP to tackle reporting challenges, further positioning Recyda as a key player in helping the industry transition from current EPR practices to the stricter requirements of the new EU legal framework.
