Mktg Industry debuts new refillable glass airless packaging

Italian beauty packaging provider Mktg Industry has introduced Celebrity, its first airless pump system featuring a glass container. Debuted at the MakeUp in Paris trade show, the innovation aims to meet the growing demand for sustainable yet premium cosmetic packaging solutions. This development is significant for the packaging sector as it aligns with upcoming European regulatory requirements while prioritizing recyclability and formula protection.

Mktg Industry’s new Celebrity packaging solution combines the aesthetic appeal and recyclability of glass with the functional performance of a refillable airless system. Presented at the MakeUp in Paris trade show in June 2026, the product is designed to address the beauty industry's shift toward more responsible packaging without sacrificing high-end aesthetics. The system is available in three standard sizes—15 ml, 30 ml, and 50 ml—catering to a variety of premium skincare and cosmetic applications.

From a technical standpoint, the airless technology is engineered to preserve formula integrity by minimizing exposure to air and external contaminants. This design also ensures that consumers can dispense nearly the entire volume of the product, significantly reducing product waste. To enhance the sustainability profile, the airless pump is constructed without any metal parts, which simplifies the recycling process and improves overall efficiency at the end of the product's lifecycle.

The material composition of the Celebrity system is a key highlight, as all components except for the glass bottle are manufactured from mono-material polypropylene (PP). This includes the pump, the refills, and their respective caps, allowing users to dispose of empty refills directly into the PP recycling stream. By utilizing mono-materials and a metal-free pump, Mktg Industry specifically targets the objectives of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) 2025/40, which entered into force in February 2025 and will apply generally from August 2026.
