Wrap Technologies (WRAP) Launches WrapShield Autonomous Defense and Public Safety Platform

Wrap Technologies has introduced WrapShield, a unified operating architecture designed to integrate threat detection, AI-assisted decision support, and response technologies for the public safety and defense sectors. The platform aims to help government agencies streamline the use of sensors and artificial intelligence across applications ranging from border security to critical infrastructure protection. This launch marks a significant expansion for the company into autonomous security markets, initially focusing on the counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) segment.

Wrap Technologies (NASDAQ: WRAP) officially launched WrapShield to serve as an autonomous defense and public safety platform that unifies existing and future sensors with AI capabilities. To bolster the platform's initial sensing layer, the company announced a strategic investment in Israel-based Frenel Imaging Ltd., securing an exclusive U.S. and NATO license for their proprietary TPiCore thermal-polarimetric imaging technology. This move is intended to provide a foundation for WrapShield’s initial focus on counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), though the company expects to make further investments to expand the platform's reach across various security and surveillance markets.

The introduction of WrapShield complements Wrap’s existing portfolio of public safety tools, which includes the BolaWrap 150 non-lethal restraint device and the WrapVision body-worn camera system. The BolaWrap 150, currently utilized by over 1,000 agencies across 60 countries, is designed to provide law enforcement with a pre-escalation tool that uses sight and sound distraction rather than pain-based compliance. By integrating these diverse technologies under a single architecture, Wrap Technologies aims to offer a more scalable and cost-effective ecosystem for agencies managing complex modern security challenges.

Beyond hardware, the company is emphasizing data integrity and immersive training through its WrapReality VR simulator and WrapVision evidence management system. WrapVision, powered by IONODES, is moving toward a "made-in-America" roadmap projected for early 2026 to address concerns regarding foreign surveillance risks and unauthorized data access. These developments, alongside next-generation C-UAS solutions like the PAN-DA and 1KC Kinetic Anti-Drone Cassette, position Wrap Technologies as a comprehensive provider of high-tech defense and public safety solutions focused on officer safety and operational transparency.
