Cumberland Packaging Selects Amtech Software to Support Its Packaging Operations in the UK

Cumberland Packaging Ltd, one of the UK's top five independent corrugated sheet plants, has partnered with Amtech Software to implement the Encore ERP platform across its operations. The Southend-on-Sea-based manufacturer aims to enhance end-to-end visibility in production, inventory, and delivery to maintain its commitment to timely customer service. This deal signifies a major expansion for Amtech into the UK corrugated market, building upon its established presence in the regional label industry.

Cumberland Packaging, a prominent manufacturer with over 40 years of expertise, produces an extensive range of corrugated and solid board packaging, as well as converted polystyrene and foam materials. As one of the top five independent corrugated sheet plants in the United Kingdom, the company maintains rigorous quality standards, including ISO 14001 and FSC Chain of Custody certifications, and recently secured an AA rating in its BRCGS annual audit. By selecting Amtech’s Encore ERP, Cumberland Packaging seeks to modernize its Southend-on-Sea operations and provide its team with advanced tools to better serve a broad customer base across the UK.

The decision to implement the Encore platform followed a comprehensive evaluation of various software solutions by Cumberland’s leadership. John Watson, Owner and Managing Director of Cumberland Packaging, stated that Amtech’s deep understanding of the packaging sector and the platform's purpose-built functionality were decisive factors in the selection. The AI-powered ERP, MES, and CRM solutions are designed to streamline plant operations from initial order entry through to job execution and final delivery, offering the end-to-end visibility necessary for high-volume manufacturing environments.
