Wialon launches ChatGPT app for fleet management queries

Wialon, Gurtam’s fleet digitalization platform, has launched a native ChatGPT integration to streamline how operational data is accessed and analyzed. The new tool allows fleet managers and executives to use natural-language queries to retrieve information on mileage, fuel consumption, and fleet status directly within the ChatGPT App Market. This development marks a significant shift for the fleet management sector by reducing the reliance on complex report-building and manual menu navigation.

Wialon’s new integration aims to simplify the way fleet stakeholders interact with their data by enabling conversational queries. Instead of navigating through traditional software menus or configuring manual reports, users can now ask direct questions about fleet status, trip history, and fuel usage. The app is specifically designed to cater to various organizational roles, allowing dispatchers to check depot statuses while executives can request high-level summaries of fuel efficiency or operational analytics.

This launch is a core component of Wialon’s broader artificial intelligence strategy, which seeks to embed AI capabilities throughout its entire ecosystem. Alongside the ChatGPT app, the company has also introduced Lona, an AI assistant dedicated to handling technical, financial, and operational inquiries for Wialon partners. Together, these tools represent an effort to modernize fleet digitalization by making data more accessible and actionable through advanced automation.

Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, emphasized that the primary challenge for modern fleets is not a lack of data, but the difficulty of retrieving specific information quickly. By moving the starting point of data analysis from filters and reports to natural-language questions, the platform allows users to focus on business outcomes rather than software mechanics. This shift is intended to empower users who may not know exactly where specific data points are stored but know what business questions they need to answer.
