Accruent has announced a strategic partnership with Carter Synergy to integrate specialized HVACR technical expertise into its integrated facilities management software suite. This collaboration aims to help multi-site facility managers, particularly in the grocery and retail sectors, reduce equipment downtime and optimize energy performance through IoT-driven predictive monitoring. By combining digital anomaly detection with hands-on technical bureau services, the partnership addresses critical industry challenges such as skills shortages and stringent regulatory compliance requirements.

Accruent, a Fortive operating company, is merging its IoT-based monitoring and Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems with Carter Synergy’s deep expertise in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical services. The partnership specifically targets the Maintain, Observe, Sustain product suite, providing retailers with a technical bureau service under a single contract. This integration allows facility managers to transform raw asset data into actionable insights, focusing on improving the reliability of critical refrigeration and building assets across large, multi-site estates.

The initiative comes at a time when the retail and grocery sectors are under intense pressure to manage rising energy costs and maintain food safety standards while facing a shortage of skilled engineering labor.
