Tivoli Carvoeiro unveils revamped events centre

Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort has completed a comprehensive renovation of its meetings and events facilities to strengthen its position in the corporate and business tourism market. The upgraded centre can now accommodate up to 900 guests, featuring flexible layouts and modernized infrastructure designed for large-scale conferences, gala dinners, and weddings. This strategic investment aims to attract high-end international clients and bolster the Algarve region's appeal as a premier destination for the MICE sector.

Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort has finished a full renovation of its meetings and events centre, led by Madrid-based architecture studio Bustelo Romero, to better serve the international MICE market. The facility now supports up to 900 participants across seven meeting rooms, most of which feature natural light and direct access to landscaped outdoor areas. Key additions include the new Centeanes Room, designed as a foyer for networking and receptions, and the Carvoeiro Room, a multifunctional venue equipped with enhanced soundproofing that allows for celebrations to continue until 3 a.m.

The renovation introduced significant technical upgrades, including new sound and lighting systems, updated furnishings, and more efficient climate control. The Almansor Room now serves as a fully flexible ballroom that can be utilized as one large open space or divided into five independent rooms: Centeanes, Alfanzina, Algar Seco, Porches, and Lagoa. To improve operational efficiency, the resort integrated buffet stations within the meeting spaces and implemented sustainability measures such as LED lighting and filtered water systems to reduce energy consumption.

General Manager Pedro Moreira noted that the project represents a major step in the hotel’s expansion, offering a more competitive product for demanding corporate and social clients. Beyond business tourism, the resort is leveraging its clifftop location and 248 rooms to target the international wedding market, specifically focusing on couples from the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the United States. The events infrastructure is further supported by on-site venues including The One Restaurant, Sky Bar Carvoeiro, and the Belvedere clifftop garden for private functions.
