Aspen Dental has announced the launch of Aligned With Aspen Dental, a new initiative designed to support and recognize newly graduated hygienists as they enter the workforce. The Aligned With Aspen Dental initiative is structured to celebrate and integrate new graduates into the Aspen Dental network, which currently encompasses more than 1,100 locations across the United States. According to the company, the program is a direct response to the evolving demands of the dental sector, where recruiting and retaining skilled hygienists has become a priority for maintaining patient access to care. The initiative provides a comprehensive onboarding process, connecting new hires with a dedicated hygiene support team to facilitate the transition from academic environments to clinical practice.

Central to the program is a focus on clinical growth through The Aspen Group University (TAG U), which offers hygienists access to ongoing learning, clinical training, and leadership resources. Dr. Rute Ramalho, Vice President of Hygiene Strategy at The Aspen Group, emphasized that the program provides mentorship and dedicated resources to help clinicians thrive throughout their careers. New graduates participating in the program, such as Colby Wilson and Lindsey Stevens, highlighted the importance of mentorship and a nonjudgmental patient experience in their new roles. Stevens, joining an independently owned office in Pennsylvania, noted that the program allows for the adoption of new techniques to improve both oral and overall health outcomes.
