Omdia Names Honeywell A Market Leader in OT Cybersecurity Services

Omdia’s 2025-26 Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Services Report has recognized Honeywell as a market leader, citing the company’s extensive breadth of services and global execution capabilities. The report highlights a critical gap in the industrial sector, noting that only 36% of organizations feel very prepared with their in-house OT security teams. This ranking reflects a growing industry reliance on external expertise to manage rising cyber risks and the increasing volume of security alerts in complex industrial environments.

The Omdia report evaluated providers based on a survey of 220 cybersecurity professionals who scored companies on service quality and their likelihood to recommend the provider. Honeywell achieved best-in-class ratings in four out of six cybersecurity quadrants, specifically in OT Managed Security Services (MSS), solution breadth, strategy and innovation, and market momentum. Additionally, the company received top-tier accolades for its OT platforms and vendor execution, positioning it as a dominant player in the specialized field of protecting critical infrastructure.

Honeywell’s OT cybersecurity portfolio is designed to be vendor-agnostic, allowing it to function across diverse industrial environments such as plants, refineries, and building control rooms. The company offers more than 30 professional services, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, network design, remediation, and employee training. These offerings are intended to support critical operations without causing disruption, addressing a primary concern for industrial operators who must balance security with uptime.

The recognition comes at a time when the cybersecurity sector is grappling with a scarcity of specialized personnel and the challenge of noise management in security monitoring. Omdia’s findings indicate that early threat signals are frequently lost in a growing volume of alerts, a phenomenon known as alert fatigue. By providing comprehensive managed services and automated platforms, Honeywell aims to mitigate these risks for organizations that lack the internal resources to maintain robust OT security postures amidst mounting global threats.
