Ward and Smith, P.A. has expanded its legal team with the addition of Stefan Maletic as an attorney in the firm's Asheville, North Carolina, office. Maletic specializes in commercial real estate transactions, providing legal counsel to a diverse range of stakeholders including developers, lenders, and municipalities. This strategic hire strengthens the firm's capacity to handle complex real estate matters in Western North Carolina, ranging from affordable housing projects to commercial leasing and title work.

Stefan Maletic joins Ward and Smith's Asheville office with a focus on commercial real estate transactions, where he represents a broad spectrum of clients including purchasers, sellers, landlords, tenants, and developers. His practice encompasses a wide range of legal matters such as the negotiation of purchase agreements, commercial leases, easements, and restrictive covenants. Additionally, Maletic provides critical support in title work, ensuring that transactions proceed with clear legal standing for all parties involved.

Maletic brings specialized experience to the firm through his previous work with municipalities, developers, and institutional lenders, particularly in the development of affordable housing. His background includes the drafting and negotiation of ground leases, loan documents, and purchase agreements, which are essential components of complex commercial real estate deals.
