Echo Global Logistics is positioning itself as a full-service supply chain integrator in the Mexican market by adding intra-Mexico transportation to its existing service suite. According to Troy Ryley, president of Echo Mexico, the expansion allows shippers to bypass the traditional need for multiple fragmented suppliers to manage cross-border legs, warehousing, and domestic distribution. By consolidating these services under the EchoXBorder division, the company aims to provide enhanced visibility and operational consistency that was previously difficult to achieve in the region.

The new service offering includes a wide range of logistics capabilities, such as city-to-city freight transportation, port drayage, and domestic intermodal corridors. Ruben Gamboa, director of commercial development for Mexico and the Southern Border, noted that these investments are designed to bring U.S.-style operational excellence and scalable infrastructure to Mexican operations. This infrastructure is intended to support both local Mexican enterprises and international shippers looking to scale their operations without the friction often associated with localized logistics providers.

This expansion follows more than a decade of Echo managing cross-border solutions and a significant growth phase in 2024. The company has established physical locations in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Laredo, Texas, to support its growing team of bilingual experts and advanced cross-border technology. By offering managed transportation solutions tailored specifically for the Mexican market, Echo is attempting to streamline the complex logistics landscape for companies operating within and across the U.S.-Mexico border.
