Avance Clinical has announced a major expansion of its operations across the Asia Pacific region and mainland China to better support international biotech companies. The Australian-headquartered contract research organization (CRO) is establishing new clinical teams in Singapore and Malaysia while launching commercial operations in Shanghai and Beijing. This strategic move aims to provide biotechs with streamlined access to diverse patient populations and accelerated clinical trial timelines through an integrated regional delivery model.

Avance Clinical, an Australian-headquartered global contract research organization (CRO), has announced a significant expansion of its operations across the Asia Pacific and mainland China. The company is establishing new clinical operations teams in Singapore and Malaysia while launching commercial operations in Shanghai and Beijing to serve China’s biotech innovation hubs. Additionally, the firm is scaling its clinical operations in India, where it already maintains a biometrics hub. CEO Mark Harvill stated that this expansion allows the CRO to offer an integrated delivery model for international biotechs seeking patient diversity and accelerated trial timelines in high-value regions.

The regional strategy is led by Jessica Han, Director of Asian Operations, who operates from the company’s Seoul office and brings 18 years of clinical research experience. Han highlighted that the new presence in Singapore and Malaysia complements existing strengths in South Korea and Taiwan, while the mainland China expansion provides direct access to the world’s fastest-growing biotech market. This infrastructure is designed to support multi-country Asian trials, providing the regulatory expertise and site relationships necessary to deliver high-quality data that meets global standards. For U.S.-based biotechs, these moves offer increased flexibility in executing global development programs from First-in-Human through late-phase trials.

Avance Clinical will highlight these new capabilities at the 2026 BIO International Convention in San Diego, where leadership will discuss multi-regional trial strategies and the GlobalReady delivery model.
