CLA Launches CLA One Digital as Xero and Emburse Debut AI Agent Tools

In the software space, Xero CEO Sukhinder Singh Cassidy announced the debut of XeroForce, a natural language AI agent builder specifically for small business financial workflows and accountants. Currently in alpha for invitation-only customers, XeroForce allows users to create custom agents that connect Xero with third-party tools to automate background tasks such as month-end closes, tax document organization, and purchase order validation. These agents are designed with domain-specific accounting logic and include traceable audit trails to ensure transparency and compliance during bulk actions across multiple clients.

Travel and expense provider Emburse is also expanding its AI footprint with a new agentic experience for Emburse Enterprise Expense, scheduled for a fall 2026 release. This tool autonomously analyzes receipts and itineraries to prepare policy-compliant expense reports, utilizing natural language processing to gather missing details from users. The system is context-aware, distinguishing between local tax rules and client-billable expenses, and integrates with major providers like American Airlines, Uber, and Amazon Business to ingest transaction data.

Additionally, procurement solution provider Spendflo has introduced Flo AI, an autonomous procurement workforce designed for mid-market companies. Unlike traditional AI assistants, Flo AI is designed to act on behalf of procurement teams rather than just assisting them, managing the complete lifecycle including intake, approvals, vendor management, and accounts payable. The system utilizes three distinct agents to handle different phases of procurement, such as Flo Procure, which routes purchase requests and checks budgets to streamline the approved purchase order process.
